Pietro & Riccardo Ferro (MURANO, Venezia, ITALY)

Our Works are unique for technique and passion, working cold glass means using various wheels to get effects by subtraction.

Pietro and Riccardo Ferro’s grinding studio was born in the year 2000.

The two brothers continued their father’s footsteps, Paolo Ferro,

and under his guidance they have opened a glassware to inspire other Artists to follow in this , style of art with their works.

Already from the beginning they cooperated with renowned Artists such as  Lino Tagliapietra, Davide Salvatore and Sons, Philip Baldwin & Monica Guggisberg,  Pino Signoretto,  Massimo Nordio, Michele Burato, Massimo Micheluzzi, Eva Moosburgger, Silvano Rubino, Afro Celott  and many others.

In addition they collaborated with the most well- known glassware of Murano Island: Including Venini, Barovier  Toso, Carlo Moretti, Seguso and the majority of local Artisans. Finally after many years of acquired experience, they have started to create their own artistic pieces like vases and sculptures, focused on a more modern and innovative design.

Pietor and Riccardo Ferro, born respectively in 1975 and 1980,   followed in the footsteps of their father, Paolo Ferro, and under his leadership,  they learned the art of grinding.

In 2000, they opened Moleria, where all artists who work in grinding can be followed.

The Ferro brothers see glass as a valuable canvas for creating and expressing their ideas. They specialise in developing new vessels and special artistic structures.
